NVDGA
will be hosting it's annual ADGA-sanctioned show on May
15-16, 2009 at the Tehama County Fairgrounds, 650 Antelope
Blvd, in Red Bluff, CA.
This
year we will continue the show format we started last year:
Two days and four rings! This is an efficient way to show your
goats.
Two new
things this year: One of the Saturday rings will be a
Toggenburg specialty show, and we will be sanctioning
Nigerian Dwarfs for the first time! They will be sanctioned
in 3 of the 4 rings.
Judges & Sanctions
Lori
Acton and Ed Jodlowski have committed to judge the rings for
Saturday; Kathy Pindell and Ray Viera to judge Jr. rings on
Saturday and the Sunday rings.
This
will be eight sanctions: Separate Sr. and Jr. sanctions for
each ring.
Regarding Nigerians, they are sanctioned in all 4 rings,
both Sr. and Jr. does. Three of the four ADGA Judges will
also sign AGS paperwork; Kathy Pindell will not sign AGS
paperwork in her Jr. Saturday and Sr. Sunday rings.
Format
Two
senior shows will be judged each day: Saturday and Sunday.
Showmanship will happen for kids between 6 and 18 years of
age, 3 classes: Jr, Intermediate and Sr. Judging will take
place in the first ring, first thing on Saturday morning.
All four
junior shows will be judged on Saturday afternoon in a
"4-ring circus" format. Instead of goats moving between
rings, the goats for each breed will stay in their
respective rings and the judges and secretaries will move
between rings. This will allow for an earlier departure on
Sunday for those who travel any distance.
The
breed order for showing in the Senior rings will be:
1)
Nubians
2)
Alpines
3)
Saanens
4)
Recorded Grades
5)
Nigerian Dwarfs
6)
Oberhaslis
7)
Lamanchas
8)
Toggenburgs
The
breed format for showing in the Junior "4- ring circus" will
be decided just before the show based on registrations.
Please plan
appropriately for handlers if you have junior breeds in
multiple rings; we can't hold up one ring for another.
